Here is a list of the items the New Community Shelter and its residents need (bolded items indicate immediate need):
RESIDENT PERSONAL NEEDS: Flip Flops, Nail Clippers, Ear Plugs, Foot Powder, Body Wash, Underwear, Deodorant, Water Bottles, Towels (Bath Size), Shampoo, Conditioner, Razors, Shaving Cream, Umbrellas/Ponchos, Adult Backpacks, Q-Tips, Toothpaste, Mouth Wash, Hair Brushes, Twin Size Bedding/Blankets, Pillows, Sunblock, & Pajama Pants.
GARDEN and GROUNDS: Hedge Shears, Heavy Duty Pruners, Screening Stones, River Rock, Pavers, Trowels, Rakes, Shovels, Weed & Lawn Fertilizer, Grass Seed, Tomato Fences & Stakes, Flowering Shrubs, Flowers, Plants, Perennials, Round Up, Weed Barrier, Mulch, & Rose Shrubs.
KITCHEN/COMMUNITY MEAL PROGRAM: Electric & Manual Can Openers, Baking Supplies, Silverware (Forks & Spoons), Canned Fruit, Canned Vegetables, Bag Lunch Items, Lunch Meat, Ziploc Sandwich Bags, Coffee & Creamer, Juice Mix or Concentrate, Canned Soups, Peanut Butter & Jelly, Kitchen Carts, Butter, Hair Nets/Bandanas/Hats, Aprons, Disposable Single Use gloves, Handheld Mixers, Wash Cloths, & Pepper.
SHELTER SUPPLIES: Garbage Bags (13, 33 & 56 Gallon Sizes), Bathroom Cleaner, Scotch Brite Pads, Brooms & Dustpans, Toilet Bowl Cleaner, Disinfectant Surface Cleaner, Toilet Paper, Bleach, Household Paper Towels, Batteries (AA needed most), Bleach Cleaner, & Large Bottles of Liquid Hand Soap.
PROGRAMMING NEEDS: Resume Paper, Envelopes, Stamps, Notebooks, Folders.
